This works on my system with no problems (after reading the installation instructions, you need to enable “Trust access to the VBA project object model” ), and will also work with 64 bit versions of Office. My solution to this problem was to install the alternative smart indenter from Andrew Engwirda. The web-site only mentions Excel versions up to 2003, but it was working with no problems with Office 365 and Excel 2013 on my last Windows 7 computer, and a search suggests that it should work with Windows 8 and 32 bit versions of Office 2013, but on my machine it doesn’t. Office 2013 has several annoying features, but for me the most annoying was that the VBA smart indenter add-in from Office Automation did not work. * Both add-ins appear in the add-in list and are working fine.I have recently installed Office 365 on a new computer running Windows 8.1 (actually the third one in just over a month, but that’s another story). * Re-install Smart Indenter install succeded * Install MZ Tools latest version install succeded MSADDNDR.DLL created * Install MZ Tools previous version install failure with error 0x80073cf9 * Install Smart Indenter install succeeded, but not available in the VBE * Remove C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Designer\MSADDNDR.DLL It seemed to be that I installed Office 2013-64 on the second machine.Īfter installing the 32 version I did the following test: As far as I can see, all the necessery register entries are created. Weird, I don't know what's causing this issue. After installing both add-ins, they didn't show up in the add-in manager. Today I did the same on another machine with Identical software (Win8-64, Office 2013 (32) and the Visual Studio Preview) installed. Both are available in the add-in manager also. After that I could install MZ Tools (latest version) and and Smart Indenter. Yesterday I found the previous mentiond blog entry and renamed the msaddndr.dll. The error was caused by the Msaddndr.dll, which was not installed by Office 2013, as I found out today. MZ Tools quits the installation with error 0x80073cf9. Smart Indenter was isntalled, but not visible in the add-in manager.
